Central Florida's DJ Greg Anderson is the only thought that comes to mind when you hear fiery, electrifying, house beats paired with the heart pounding bass that makes your soul catch fire. Not only does he consistently bring the heat but, kicks every party to new heights. His effectuating sounds draws his audience into his private world with an entrancing and unique flow allowing them to lose themselves and set off to a world of magic.
For over 30 years, Greg has rightfully earned his position in the DJ market. He has received honorable achievements such as becoming Billboard Magazine’s reporting Club DJ as well as being voted #1 DJ for Tampa Bay of 2012 & 2013 in Watermark Magazine. But before he made it to where he is today, he was no stranger to hard work on his journey to the top. One night he was dancing on the stage with his friends at Talons Nightclub in Frederick, MD when he suddenly came to a very important realization. Fascinated by the immense power the DJ had over the entire room, at that moment, Greg knew what he was meant to become. With a twinkle in his eye he told his friends, “I’m going to be up there one of these days. Just wait.” And right he was. In 1993, he received his first gig at Talons as their resident DJ. Talons closed down a few years later, but that didn’t slow him down on his road to success. Over the next few years, he was fortunate to be able to take his talent all through the east spinning as resident DJ at places like Tracks and Badlands in Washington DC, Allegro in Baltimore, MD, and Baxter’s in Wilmington, DE as well as appearing as guest DJ in numerous venues such as Cobalt, Wet, and Heaven & Hell in DC, Trust Nightclub and The Hippo in Baltimore, and Stallions in Harrisburg, PA to name a few.
In 2004, he made his way down to Florida where he spun in clubs like Metropolis, Revolution (Southern Nights), Pulse and Freedom in Orlando. Discovering more DJ opportunities in Tampa Bay, he decided to settle down and let his presence be known. At this point, Greg was unstoppable as he made his way to become resident DJ at Tampa’s premiere gay clubs such as Chrome/Temple, Revolution Sundays at Amphitheater, GBar, Honey Pot, and Social Club/Eagle continuously packing the crowds in night after night with his salacious beats from 2006 until 2012. Since, he has had residencies at Liquid Nightclub in Tampa, Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg, Throb & Cream Thursdays in Sarasota, Club Main Street in Lakeland and much more. It didn’t end there as he earned a spot for Envy Saturdays at Hard Rock Casino in Tampa where that opportunity enabled him to broaden his audience and reach out to new ears. Continuing his DJing journey, Greg was delving into new waters as a show director, show/event planner and started buying his own equipment to use on mobile gigs. After several years of that, he then started DJing weddings, large special events, drag brunches, pool parties, private events and more!
Today he is still going strong by starting his own promotional company and working with some of the greatest people and places in the Tampa Bay area. Greg is currently working in St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Dade City, Lakeland and Tampa on a regular basis. He has also recently revived the favorite Pride Skate in Tampa and is doing very well.
